1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the services provided by World Communications (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you may not use our services.
2. Services
World Communications provides language and communication services including, but not limited to:
- Translation and localization
- Interpretation (remote and on-site)
- Video production and editing
- Multilingual content and communication services
All services are subject to availability and may be customized based on client requirements.
3. Quotes and Estimates
All quotes and estimates are valid for the period specified in the proposal.
By approving a quote (written or electronic), the client agrees to proceed with the services under the terms outlined.
4. Pricing and Payment Terms
- Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are payable within 30 days net from the invoice date.
- Late payments may incur interest charges as permitted by applicable law.
- For ongoing or large projects, we may require partial or full advance payment.
5. Cancellations and Modifications
- If a project is cancelled after work has commenced, the client will be invoiced for all work completed up to the time of cancellation.
- For translation services, charges will be calculated based on the number of words already translated.
- For interpretation services, cancellation fees may apply depending on notice period and booking commitments.
- For video, events and other service, cancellation fees may apply depending on notice period and booking commitments.
6. Client Responsibilities
The client agrees to:
- Provide accurate and complete source materials
- Ensure they have the right to use and share the content provided
- Review deliverables within a reasonable timeframe
We are not responsible for delays caused by incomplete or late materials.
7. Confidentiality
We treat all client materials as confidential.
Our team and partners are bound by confidentiality obligations and non-disclosure agreements where applicable.
8. Quality and Revisions
We strive to deliver high-quality services.
- Clients must notify us of any concerns within 7 days of delivery
- Reasonable revisions related to the original scope will be provided
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the services in question
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
10. Intellectual Property
- Upon full payment, the client obtains rights to the final deliverables
- We retain the right to use non-confidential work for portfolio or promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed
11. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party contractors or tools to deliver services.
We are not liable for failures caused by third-party platforms beyond our control.
12. Data Protection and Privacy
We handle personal and business data in accordance with applicable laws, including Canadian privacy regulations (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, GDPR.
13. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Technical failures
- Labor disruptions
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario, unless otherwise agreed.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website with the revised date.
